AI/ML Data Analyst

This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.

Provide for the daily execution and maintenance for Gen AI efforts for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). For Defense Logistics Agency, the primary challenge is automating the synthesis of diverse, informal documents and unstructured data sources to extract meaningful information that can identify and plug gaps in supply chains. Provide data, mathematics, statistics, AI/ML, modeling, and business intelligence expertise required to effectively scope, research, and execute data analyses at all scales. This expertise spans from large scale analyses that requires software development and significant computational resources, all the way down to prototype ad-hoc analyses and database lookups.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for AI/ML Data Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.

AI/ML Data Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Research DLA requirements for network synthesis through a carefully sequenced process
  • Identify strategies to collect unstructured data from various documents like emails, PDFs, reports, and spreadsheets, extracting essential information about supply networks.
  • Analyze DLA related manufacturing steps and workflows
  • Establish data management frameworks to automate the synthesis of diverse documents and unstructured data sources, aiming to enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience
  • Develop project deliverables
  • Supports tracking of activities.
  • Participates in meetings / teleconferences with stakeholders.
  • Provides input, maintain, and champion lessons learned.
  • Performs other job-related duties as

AI/ML Data Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Physical Sciences, Information Security, Mathematics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or Business.
  • Five (5) years of data science related work experience.
  • Advanced analytical skill in solving complex technical, administrative, and managerial problems.
  • Working knowledge of researching and writing white papers.
  • Working knowledge of major activities within the Gen AI lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) enabling precise conveyance of information across all customer sections and proper enunciation of the English language.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking/problem solving skills.
  • Ability to organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates and oversee the successful completion of all tasks.
  • Ability to maintain customer contacts to ensure conformity to all contractual obligations.
  • Ability to be flexible, dependable, and multi-task with evolving priorities.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Able to obtain, a Secret clearance required for this position.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
