JOB OVERVIEW:

The Recreation Attendant will be responsible for the successful execution of all Recreation responsibility areas during open hours at The Anchor. These areas include running all facets of the command & control center, assisting, demonstrating, & promoting to customers using various physical & electronic games & attractions, & regular sanitation of touch point surfaces, among other assigned tasks.

Additionally, Recreation Attendants will play a key role in the coordination, organization, & execution of numerous events, parties, clinics, & camps hosted at The Anchor or other venues throughout the Shangri-La Resort property. All functions of this position will contribute to a fun, exciting, energy-driven atmosphere designed to maximize enjoyment for all visitors & enhance value for Shangri-La members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Process transactions from customers seeking to obtain or modify game cards, play arcade, simulator, or VR games, redeem gaming credits, rent equipment, purchase merchandise, or reserve court time.
  • Answer phone calls & greet incoming customers.
  • Demonstrate & upsell to customers using gaming machines.
  • Participate in regular training for incoming & continual part-time staff.
  • Generate advertising & promotional content for various media platforms.
  • Perform preventative & corrective maintenance on various machines & equipment.
  • Perform regular sanitation of all touch-point surfaces & other areas requiring cleaning.
  • Perform regular inventory counting & reporting.
  • Attend planning meetings for numerous Shangri-La parties, events, clinics, & camps.
  • Perform set up & tear down tasks related to parties, events, clinics, & camps.
  • Address & resolve customer complaints leading to a satisfactory solution.
  • Other duties as assigned by A-Team Associates or the Director of Anchor Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation.
  • Team-first attitude & desire to develop valuable knowledge & skills.
  • Positive, outgoing, high-energy approach necessary for fun & fast-paced position.

Special Demands:

Prolonged standing, lifting of items up to 50 lbs., moving of furniture & equipment indoors & outdoors in all conditions occasionally required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Presents a professional appearance and manner. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
